Hot Wheels released a Dodge Van model with some modifications like a clear bubble roof and tow hook on the bumper. It hit me for some reason to see if I could return the van back to stock.
Trying to find good pictures of a basic Dodge van was a challenge, especially the one with the wagon doors on one side. They made a ton of variants.
I had to scratch-build and integrate the new roof onto the van, as well as cut out the rear windows.
The body was finished and then molded in silicone. The resin-cast bodies were painted and then a back window added (it was molded with vents on the original), then mounted to the modified chassis and interior.
I’m pretty happy with how these turned out. I enjoyed the process of returning the van to stock and making it look like a normal utility van.
