Kit: AMT 1970 Dodge Challenger Street Machine 1/25 Scale
I’m not sure where I got this kit from but this is a sweet car.
I did a full suspension job on the front end. And the rear.. well, it’s kinda suspension-y. Ok not really.
Nice clean interior as typical from 1960s/70s cars. Some of the details were molded in instead of being extra parts to glue on.
Standard undercarriage including the inability to line up the exhaust from the engine with the exaust pipes. Ugh. Note the scraping on the oil pan – I used to jump this car on occasion for fun.
The front suspension was pretty well done and has never broken to my recollection.
2 “N” Size batteries in the trunk. The batteries are basically impossible to find locally now and these are long dead. I think the headlights and tail lights worked at one point years ago.
4-pin DIP switch replacing the battery in the engine compartment.
All in all it’s hanging in there and still looks pretty good for its age. It’s still on display in 2022.
